It's cold these days, (especially downstairs) so I needed something to keep me warm. I found these Nick & Nora pajamas online at Target. I have two pair which will get me through winter. They are quite a bargain these days. I love elephants. :)
The self-portrait of me in the pajamas is my 365 project picture of the day.
Now that I'm in my forties, I have to use reading glasses. I'm not too thrilled about this. It's frustrating trying to read books, magazines and vitamin bottles. Without my glasses, I can't see the print. I swear they use a size 2 font on purpose. As for the MacBook Pro screen, well, it's getting to be too small. I need a big monitor. It's becoming ridiculous to read type off of this.
It's freezing this morning, and I'm in my pajamas trying to get the picture done, and keep warm. I slept well, having gone to bed with a bad headache. It's pretty much gone now, so I'm feeling relieved and happy about that. Off to work. First day back is the hardest. It's so warm in bed, I don't want to get up.
I love reading and listening to Caroline Myss. She is a medical intuitive, and a powerful voice in becoming healthy and conscious. She is a no-bullshit kind-a-gal, with the knowledge to speak on healing, intuition, self-esteem, consciousness, and becoming more evolved. She is a positive speaker, but doesn't gloss over anything, and her honesty is the reason why I can listen to her all day long.
It was freezing out today, and I couldn't seem to get warm. Very windy, wintery day. I went out with some friends and we had a light dinner. There is no night life in this weather. We tried to find a place to hang out, and it was disappointing. Most people stay home when it's this cold outside. We should have gone to the movies or stayed home. Too cold to be traveling.
I'm a tough, hard-ass officer. I'm Jimmy Cagney. Lock-up, asshole! Actually, I'm tired, and had no idea what to do for a picture this early in the morning. Don't you like my lips? Do I look like Sophia Loren? LOL!
My day started off terribly. I had acid stomach from some bad coffee. Once I got home and had a zantac, the pain disappeared. (By then I had the pain for 4 hours. I was done with that crap!) Thank God! Then I went with some friends to a women's dance in Northampton, Massachusetts at the Union Station. They have them once a month. This was my 1st time there. It was hilarious. I met some cool people. It was a relaxed atmosphere. No pressures, and being with friends made it that much more fun.
I didn't feel good at all this morning, so I went back to bed to sleep it off. I woke up and felt somewhat better, and decided to go for a walk on the bike trail in Granby, Connecticut. Then after that warmed up my back, I went to the chiropractor.
The picture of me with a Birch tree is my 365 project picture of the day.
I bought a few books to deal with my back pain. This book is :"Treat Your Back Without Surgery" by Stephen Hochschuler, M.D., and Bob Reznik, MBA. I'm doing some of the exercises in the book to help my bulging disc in my lower back. I honestly believe that sitting is worse than standing or no activity. I started to work out again today, being careful not to hit the lower back. I did chest and back today, but my back exercises consisted of only doing the upper part of my back, to prevent aggravating the lower disc. It seemed to work. I'm very excited to be able to exercise again, but will be cautious, and do more core work.
I am a very creative person, dabbling in art, photography, video, music, design, and anything to do with being creative. I play guitar, piano, and sing. As for personal growth, more importantly, I love anything to do with meditation, self-healing, holistic, chakras, creativity, and believe everyone can heal through intention. Love Qigong. Just started that. I also love my dog Ozzy. We are put here on this earth to love and help people. Simple.
