75/365 Bike Trail East Granby

It looks like I am having fun, but it was not easy to do this walk feeling yucky today. I almost didn't make it out of the house. It was freakin' cold too, but am glad I did it.

This is my 365 project picture of the day.

Self-portrait taken with the Canon SD800.

Bike Trail

I felt crummy today. I forced myself to finally go for a walk on the bike trail, though I was chancing it. I made it, and I took some pictures.

Photo Booth and Life

Well,it's been raining for a few days, the days I had off, of course. Anyway, I'm starting to get loopy about that. The weather in Connecticut isn't always the best. I figured it out. We don't get to spend as much time outside doing activities as people in nicer climes. I really need to move to a better location. I'm kind of tired of not being outside all the time.(Or how about a best town to live in?) I really love the outdoors. If I could afford California or a similar climate, I'd certainly leave this state. Connecticut has gotten prohibitively expensive, and there is just nothing in this state that is worthy of spending that much on with my tax dollars. Any suggestions?

(From MSN: "The state in which residents pay the most in combined state, local and federal taxes, per capita, is Connecticut (38.3%), followed by New York (37.1%), New Jersey (35.6%) and Nevada (35.2%). Oklahoma residents pay the least (27.8%), followed by those in Alabama (28.0%) and Alaska (28.1%)."

Oh, and it's 4 bux for gas now too.

Funny Girl

I'm The Greatest Star!

On A Clear Day

I love this song with the flowers too. I just think it's so perky! All of the songs in this movie are awesome!

Barbra on Judy Garland Show

Love her on this too.

Barbra Swings

This is a great song.

Funny Girl Medley

She is so awesome!

I wish I Saw Funny Girl On Broadway

I was only a toddler when Funny Girl came out on Broadway. I wish I saw this live. It was a once in a lifetime event. this is also one of my favorites songs in the live play that they don't use in the movie version. Many songs I love on this broadway album, they don't use in the movie. Such a shame!

Barbra Streisand Holds 19 Second Belt!!!

This is just amazing. She still has it!

Photo Booth in Black and White

Just playing with Photo Booth.

Playing with Photo Booth & B.B. King

I ordered the B.B. King CD from Amazon, and can't wait to play it in the car or on my iPod! The absolute best B.B. King album ever!

Okay, so I was playing with Photo Booth on my MBP, and I don't know why I love bad pictures of myself. Probably because they suck so bad, that they crack me up.
I laughed so hard, I gave myself a headache. I was listening to B.B.King's song about selling his monkey. I don't know. I just find that song so hilarious!

B.B.King is awesome! He makes me that happy. Isn't it all about the music and being silly?

73/365 Eat The Bread, Ya Freak!

It's a rainy day here in Connecticut. I went out with a friend to lunch at Bertucci's, and then we headed to Border's Books in Avon. I like to photograph books in the store so I have a visual list of what I may get later on at some point.

The "Mastering Digital Black and White" by Amadou DiƄllo is an awesome book, but I'm not ready for something that intense.

"The Here And Now" book by Sam Jones is celebrity photographs that are so exquisite! I love Sam Jone's style. I love the cover with George Clooney. He is such a sexy man. I love his sense of humor too. (The forward in the book is by Clooney who claims to not even know Jones. LOL!!) Sam Jones is a photographer I've never heard of, but he is a wonderful celebrity portrait photographer.

The bread at Bertucci's restaurant was freakish. It was phallic. I had to laugh. Of course, the picture I took with the bread has to be the 365 project photo of the day! It's not flattering at all. It is funny to me, and that is the reason for it being the top picture. I could have easily went with another lovely book, but I find the spontaneous stuff much more enjoyable, even if I don't look my best. I figure if I look like shit in some of these photos, it makes the project more realistic and endearing. I need to laugh at myself more. Life shouldn't be serious at all! I want to show warts and all. If I could get a nude portrait up here with my flaws and everything, then I'd be quite brave, wouldn't I?

Remember the woman with breast cancer who had herself photographed with one breast missing, and there was only a scar there? (I think it was Richard Avedon that did that photograph.) She came so close to death, that she threw caution to the wind and showed integrity in that photo. She looked beautiful.

The picture of the Ohm (OM?) Symbol pendant was just something I wanted to do quickly with the Canon pocket camera. I just love the shape of this pendant. My brother-in-law John gave it to me. So, all of the these pictures (except the one with me and the bread) are all part of the 365 overflow.

71/365 Photo Idea Index Book

Photo Idea Index Book by Jim Krause. I like how he talks about everything photography, including using photoshop, and a digital darkroom. It's a great idea book to carry around in your photography bag. Jim has also written many other books

Many of my pictures are of books I like. I'm limited for time in the morning to take pictures, so when I'm required to work, I usually photograph the things I like, instead of the same old portraits.

My collection of books has been culled and the ones I don't think i'll need again go to my local library. They are beautiful books, but i know I'll never look at them again. It gets to be too much hanging on to so many volumes. I have limited space. If I kept every book I ever bough since childhood, I'd own a huge library! (I wish I had unlimited space, because I owned some of the most beautiful books in the world.)

This is my 365 project picture of the day.

 Taken with a Canon SD800.

69/365 Finger Revisited

This finger is for having to wake up early following a double shift. I hate not getting enough rest.

The picture of the lunchbox of Rosie the Riveter is a gift from a friend. I just love the image. It's a close second for the pic of the day, but is part of the 365 overflow.

This is my 365 project picture of the day. Not because I like it better than the lunch box above, only because it's a self-portrait.
